If an average sized woman who I knew wasn't well versed in martial arts came at me with a kitchen knife, I really wouldn't be that worried about me. In fact, I'd be almost as worried about her because there would be a pretty high likelihood that I would hurt her taking the knife away if I was unable to flee or get a chair or something in between us. Yes, she might poke me or slice me in the altercation, but it's really unlikely she could cause all that much damage.

On the other hand, if someone like Hey Skipper came at me with a knife, I'd be dead. Between his larger size relative to the woman, testosterone and training, I wouldn't have a chance. Training is probably the most important of the three, but even without it, I'd be in trouble.Brethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15063508651955739056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5806884.post-28964534367686572092017-05-20T12:33:04.603-07:002017-05-20T12:33:04.603-07:00If blackness was a cause of level of danger of the...If blackness was a cause of level of danger of the criminal, then potentially yes, but it's not.

On the other hand, gender and size are clearly examples. There're two parts to sentencing: (1) punishment and (2) getting the criminal off the streets. I think that (1) should be the same for both men and women but I just don't see female violent criminals anywhere near as dangerous as male violent criminals so keeping them off the streets is far, far less important.
