Illinois’ credit rating has taken another hit. Standard & Poor’s Ratings Service downgraded the state from an “A” rating to “A-minus”, making it the worst in the country.I rather thought California was going to win this race to the bottom, but Illinois might just beat us out.

Thank you, thank you, but I couldn't have done it without the support of millions of voters here in this destitute state. And a special thanks to our newspapers and staffs who have systematically underplayed this problem for decades. Thanks to them our citizens are still woefully underinformed about the problems so we have every chance of staying ahead of California. Let the hard times roll!
