USA Today requested that readers come up with a single word to describe the state of the union and compiled the results into the following word cloud:
What word jumps out the most? Well, according to USA Today:The words that were mentioned the most include: "improving," ...I don't know about you, but I think that anybody who looks at that cloud and sees "improving" first is "screwed", "pathetic", and pushing "propaganda".

Usually I let aog do media related posts, but he hasn't posted in eons and eons...
Yeah, I'm lazy. I really should start posting again.
Did either of you guys watch?
I don't watch TV. Too slow for me - I can read much faster (but no, I didn't read the transcript either - I have little interest in the words spewing forth from our dear president).
For information I agree, but this type of thing is performance art and facial expressions and body language tell more of the story. Not that we watched it either.
The Nixon / Kennedy debate is a case in point. Those who heard it on the radio or read a transcript thought Nixon won, those who saw the video thought the opposte.
