It looks like western culture is sick in many ways. For one, their middle age men look to be killing themselves, literally.
But this? Other than 'social science' departments, no one can possibly care for such waste of trees.

A lot of students take courses from those 'social science' departments and a fair number get degrees. I think this is the sort of thing being taught. I'm not sure the extent of thinking like the above or specifically how many students are taught, so maybe you're right.
